Junes Presidents Letter

Hello and Happy Summer! Not that it feels like summer with all this rain we’ve been having. My garden looks fantastic, but my summer tan is lacking! Another thing that’s a bit lacking? Date Night. I don’t know about you, but summer always seemed to be the best time to get out and have fun with my significant other. There’s so much happening in the city and the weather is perfect for lazy strolls or opportunities to sit on the patio tasting a new wine. But, when you’re in the middle of trying to conceive, the excitement of being with your partner can sometimes feel lackluster and let’s not forget the financial strain it can put on your wallet.

We get so caught up with doctors’ appointments, shots, timing methods, and everyday life that “date night” usually takes a backseat. Let’s not let that happen this summer! Talk with your S/O and plan one night a week or once at least-once a month to get back to basics and remember why you want to grow your family in the first place. Rekindle that romance by visiting the first place you kissed, holding hands as you stroll through the Old Market, or making reservations at a local hotel- if finances allow it.

Try something new! A new restaurant, take a class together, or go on a small day trip and visit a town you’ve never been too. The excitement alone may spark something! No matter what you do, it’s important to make time for each other. It’s also important to leave the conversation of conceiving at home.  Give yourselves some time to breathe and just be together.

Here’s too long summer nights!
